Your role
Design and integrate electrical and control systems for customer equipment, automation projects and electromechanical products. Collaborate with mechanical engineers, suppliers and customers to meet functional, safety and performance requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Translate requirements into electrical architectures, schematics and control concepts.
- Prepare wiring diagrams, panel layouts, cable schedules, I/O lists and electrical BOMs.
- Select sensors, motors, drives, power supplies and protection devices.
- Develop or modify PLC and HMI programs as required.
- Coordinate interfaces with mechanical assemblies and robotic systems.
- Support panel builders during fabrication, assembly and integration.
- Perform functional testing, troubleshoot faults and document corrective actions.
- Maintain revisions, software backups, test records and operating documentation.
- Contribute to risk assessments and reviews against applicable project standards.
Required qualifications
- Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
- 5+ years in electrical design, automation or controls engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN or equivalent.
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, motor controls and integration.
- Understanding of electrical safety, grounding and protection.
- Clear English communication and disciplined documentation.
Preferred experience
- Siemens, Allen-Bradley or comparable automation platforms.
- FANUC or Universal Robots integration, machine vision or industrial communications.
- North American or European equipment projects.
- PCB design, embedded systems or firmware development.
